This section of SH 199 just west of I-820 is in a frontage road configuration. As of 2022 the construction of the main lanes in the area shown in the photos is not scheduled. Construction of main lane bridges at Lake Worth, in the upper parts of these images, was completed in 2023. Further west, SH 199 has sections with freeway main lanes. A three-mile section was upgraded to freeway status in 2018.
